Eddie Hall rips boxing fans, targets KSW heavyweight title
Strongman Eddie Hall has no love left for boxing fans after his majority decision loss to Tommy Fury in April.
Hall, who competed on the Misfits Boxing "Beauty vs. The Beast" card, told Fight Your Corner that the boxing audience stands alone in how they critique fighters. "I want to call out boxing fans, specifically boxing fans," he said, per Fight Book MMA. "Not MMA fans, not fighting fans, just boxing fans. They're the worst fans on planet earth. They remind me of the Simpsons mob, they'll have an argument across the street, then change sides depending on what a fighter does. They're all f***ing experts."
Hall targets De Fries for KSW heavyweight title
The 38-year-old, who retired from strongman competition in 2018, now has his sights on cage fighting. Hall previously defeated fellow strongman Marius Pudzianowski under the KSW banner and wants a shot at Phil De Fries, who has held the promotion's heavyweight belt for over a decade. "I would love to fight for a world title in KSW," Hall said. "Phil De Fries has been the heavyweight champion for 12 years, maybe more, and we've been in talks."
Hall said the shift to MMA plays to his physical advantages in ways boxing does not. The cage allows him to use his power through grappling exchanges and clinch work, where pure striking skill becomes less decisive. Whether KSW grants him a title fight or he pursues other matchups remains unclear, but Hall confirmed he is open to both sports going forward.
