Tommy Fury edges Eddie Hall by majority decision in sloppy bout

Tommy Fury scraped past former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall via majority decision Saturday night at AO Arena in Manchester, with judges scoring the bout 59-56, 58-56, and 57-57.

The DAZN pay-per-view headliner fell short of expectations, according to MMA Mania, with Fury struggling to impose himself despite entering 11-0 as a professional. Hall, who holds limited boxing experience but notched a TKO win in his MMA debut at KSW 105 in April 2025, reportedly made the fight competitive throughout. The strongman competitor's significant weight advantage may have played a larger role than anticipated.

Hall's combat sports pivot continues after strongman dominance

Hall has branched into combat sports following one of the best strongman careers in history. Beyond his MMA win over Mariusz Pudzianowski, he captured an arm-wrestling victory at East vs. West 19 four months later. Saturday marked another attempt to satisfy his competitive drive outside the strongman arena.

Fury barely controlled the action and looked less polished than his record suggested. The bout turned into a technical mess, with neither man able to establish clean work. Hall's durability kept him in rounds where Fury's experience should have taken over.

Video highlights from the event are circulating online, with fans debating whether the matchup delivered on its billing.
