TKO's Emanuel and Shapiro Approved as Minority Shareholders in Las Vegas Raiders
TKO Group Holdings CEO Ari Emanuel and TKO president Mark Shapiro were both approved as minority shareholders in the Las Vegas Raiders.
Emanuel purchased a 1.4% stake while Shapiro took 0.6%, with the overall Raiders franchise currently valued at approximately $9.9 billion. The investments are minority positions with no bearing on operational control, but they represent a meaningful financial commitment to a franchise that shares the same city as the UFC's global headquarters.
The more structurally significant development within the ownership picture is the growth of Egon Durban's stake from 11% to 22%. Davis, who inherited the Raiders from his father and legendary owner Al Davis, retains approximately 30% ownership — the NFL's minimum requirement for a designated controlling owner — and continues to hold day-to-day control of the franchise.
For the UFC, the investment represents a straightforward extension of a long-standing relationship with Las Vegas. The promotion has called the city home for decades, operates the UFC Apex facility there, and stages some of its most significant events at venues across the Strip.
