Proctor Plans Diverse Attack On Karpinski
Titus Proctor will look to deploy his full striking arsenal when he faces Maciej Karpinski this Friday at The Inner Circle 37.
The unbeaten New Zealander carries a 22-0 record into the lightweight Muay Thai clash at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, per BJPenn.com. Proctor finished Liu Quan with a third-round stoppage at ONE Friday Fights 130 and put away Tun Min Aung via head kick decision at The Inner Circle 18. His Polish opponent scored four knockdowns before halting Donny Smith in the second round of his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 113.
Full Arsenal On Display Against Dangerous Karpinski
The 22-year-old WBC Muay Thai World Champion has dedicated camp time to refining his boxing and plans to attack from distance and close range alike. "I just want to showcase what I can do," Proctor told BJPenn.com, listing body shots, hooks, uppercuts and high kicks among the tools he intends to use. Karpinski brings reach, dangerous combinations and diverse kicking to the matchup.
Victory would push the Tihipuke Muay Thai fighter closer to a US$100,000 main roster deal and the elite of the lightweight ranks. Proctor has already identified Regian Eersel as the ultimate target. Eersel holds both the Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles at 155 pounds. The Kiwi sees his youth and hunger as potential advantages in that future clash, though he acknowledged the champion's status as the division's greatest.
The Inner Circle 37 streams for members in Asia primetime on November 6.
