The Rock Releases Country Track

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has added another string to his bow, releasing "Your Dad" — an emotional country-influenced track dedicated to his three daughters.

The song was co-written with 2023 American Idol winner Iam Tongi, who originally wrote it about his own late father. Johnson asked to reshape it around his daughters, citing the complicated relationship he shared with his father, WWE legend Rocky Johnson.

The track is executive produced alongside Johnson's wife Lauren Hashian and accompanied by a video featuring personal family footage. It forms part of Johnson's contribution to Moana: Voices Across the Ocean.

Johnson has previously recorded songs for the Moana franchise and has cited country music as a major influence from his teenage years in Nashville. "Your Dad" marks his most personal musical release to date.
