Davis Settles Battery Lawsuit Over Miami Incident

Aaron Clarke
Lightweight & Featherweight Writer ·

Gervonta Davis has settled a civil lawsuit filed by a woman who accused him of battery at a Miami strip club last October, according to ESPN.

The woman alleged that Davis attacked and held her against her will at the venue in October 2025. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed in the report.

What The Settlement Means For Davis

Davis, one of boxing's most popular lightweights, avoided what could have been a lengthy civil trial by reaching an agreement with his accuser. The Baltimore native holds a 30-0 record with 28 knockouts and remains a marquee draw for Premier Boxing Champions.

No criminal charges stemming from the October incident were mentioned in the ESPN story. Davis has faced legal trouble in the past, including a 2023 probation sentence related to a 2020 hit-and-run crash in Baltimore.

The settlement clears one legal matter as Davis continues his boxing career, though no fight date has been announced for his next ring appearance.
