Sean Strickland threatens UFC 328 hotel lobby confrontation

Sean Strickland has threatened to confront Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 328 fighter hotel lobby if he believes the promotion is giving Chimaev's camp preferential treatment.

The former middleweight champion posted on social media that the UFC is attempting to restrict his interactions with Chimaev ahead of their middleweight clash. "Listen I will say this now. I will not be controlled by a third world dog," Strickland wrote, according to Sherdog. "If I find there is unequal treatment between our camps I will walk to the lobby and wait for him."

Strickland accuses UFC of limiting fighter access

Strickland's comments suggest tension behind the scenes as the UFC manages both camps in the lead-up to the bout. The California native has previously clashed with opponents during fight week, and his latest threat indicates he plans to bypass any promotional restrictions.

Chimaev has not publicly responded to the challenge. The undefeated middleweight contender last fought at UFC 308 in October, submitting Robert Whittaker in the first round.

UFC 328 takes place in early March, with the Strickland-Chimaev matchup expected to serve as a title eliminator in the middleweight division.
