UFC 329 main card finalised with McGregor-Holloway headliner
UFC has locked in the main card for its July 11 International Fight Week event in Las Vegas, with Conor McGregor facing Max Holloway in a welterweight rematch 13 years after their first meeting.
The promotion unveiled the full lineup during Saturday's UFC Vegas 119 broadcast, per MMA Mania. McGregor returns from a five-year absence to headline UFC 329 at T-Mobile Arena, while Paddy Pimblett meets Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main slot at lightweight.
Green-McKinney replaces Steveson on main card
Olympic wrestling gold medalist Gable Steveson has been moved from the main card to the prelims, where he takes on Elisha Ellison in his promotional debut. Bobby Green versus Terrance McKinney fills the vacated spot in a lightweight clash expected to deliver violence for however long it lasts.
Cory Sandhagen gets a rematch with Mario Bautista at bantamweight after submitting him in 2019. Brandon Royval and Lone'er Kavanagh round out the main card in a flyweight matchup between a former title challenger and a rising contender.
The card marks a departure from typical McGregor events, which historically feature weaker supporting bouts given the Irishman's drawing power alone. UFC 329 weigh-ins are scheduled for July 10, with the main card airing live on pay-per-view three weeks from today.
