Street Fighter Hits The Cinemas

The new “Street Fighter” movie debuted at No. 1 in North America over the October 16-18 weekend, earning an estimated $31 million.

Another $21.1 million came from international markets, for an opening worldwide total of about $51.1 million. The film stars Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken Masters and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. Combat sports and wrestling names in the cast include Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile and 50 Cent as Balrog. It is the third live-action adaptation of the franchise, after the 1994 and 2009 releases.
