Steveson Faces Sharaf As UFC 331 Adds Heavyweight Bouts

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson will make his second UFC appearance against Sean Sharaf at UFC 331 on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, MMA Mania reports.

Steveson enters with a perfect 4-0 record and four knockout finishes. Sharaf presents minimal risk — the heavyweight has dropped both his UFC outings by stoppage, first against Junior Tafa at UFC Vegas 98 and then Steven Asplund at UFC Vegas 112.

Despaigne Returns Against Struggling Tuivasa

The card also features Robelis Despaigne in his second UFC stint after an unsuccessful first run with the promotion. The 2012 Olympic bronze medalist meets Tai Tuivasa, who has dropped seven consecutive fights but remains on the roster. Tuivasa carries a 14-10 record into the bout.

UFC 331 streams on Paramount+ and includes a rematch between Brian Ortega and Renato Moicano. Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira are expected to run back their previous encounter, while Ryan Gandra and Osman Diaz collide at middleweight.
