Natalia Silva slept on a physical therapy bed at her gym before landing a UFC title shot.

Silva faces Cong Wang for the vacant flyweight championship at UFC 332 on Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Brazilian told the UFC she lived at her training facility during one of the toughest stretches of her career and credits her faith with keeping her in the sport. "There were moments that I had to live in the gym. I actually lived in the physical therapy room; I slept in a PT bed for a while," she said, per Sherdog. "Things were never easy. And in many moments, I thought of giving up, of quitting."

Silva has reeled off eight straight UFC wins, most recently stopping former champion Rose Namajunas in July. She also owns victories over Alexa Grasso and Jessica Andrade during her current run. Wang enters on a four-fight streak after beating Tracy Cortez in June.

Silva told the UFC she relied on people around her during the moments she considered walking away from fighting. She described her journey as consistently difficult despite the success she has achieved.
