Shields Stops Scott To Reclaim Middleweight Titles

Dan O'keefe
Contributor ·

Claressa Shields reclaimed the WBC and WBA middleweight titles Saturday night with a dominant stoppage of Kaye Scott.

Shields rolled through Scott en route to the TKO win, per ESPN, re-establishing herself as the top fighter in the 160-pound division after previously vacating the belts.

Shields Dominates From Opening Bell

The victory marks Shields' return to the middleweight throne after a spell competing at other weights. Scott had no answer for the two-time Olympic gold medallist's pressure and power.

Shields now holds multiple world titles again and controls the division. No word yet on her next opponent or when she plans to defend.
