Sheeraz vs Zachenhuber, Kelly vs Agyarko added to Joshua card

Matchroom has added two world title fights to the Anthony Joshua vs Kristaps Prenga card in Jeddah on July 25, less than two weeks before the show goes live.

Hamzah Sheeraz will make the first defense of his WBO middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight title against seventh-ranked Simon Zachenhuber, Bad Left Hook reports. Sheeraz claimed the vacant belt in May by stopping Alem Begic after Terence Crawford moved up to heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight. Zachenhuber brings a 29-1 record but lost a six-round decision to Pawel August just three months ago. August also appears on the undercard, facing undefeated Jacob Bank, who sits second in the WBO rankings behind Canelo Alvarez.

Kelly defends IBF welterweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super welterweight title

Josh Kelly puts his IBF super welterweight strap on the line against unbeaten Caoimhin Agyarko in a fight expected to be more competitive than the Sheeraz bout. Kelly upset champion Bakhram Murtazaliev in January to capture the belt, reversing years of stalled momentum after his loss to David Avanesyan. Agyarko, who fights out of Ireland, edged Ishmael Davis last September despite severe swelling during the fight.

The undercard also includes top featherweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super featherweight prospect Reito Tsutsumi, Olympian Oleksandr Khyzhniak, and India's Nishant Dev. The Jeddah show tops a busy month for Matchroom, which has staged three Saudi cards since May.
