Shara Bullet grabs Michel Pereira's neck at UFC Baku weigh-in

Shara Magomedov grabbed Michel Pereira by the neck during their ceremonial weigh-in faceoff at UFC Baku on Friday, forcing staff to intervene before the middleweights could escalate further.

The confrontation unfolded when Magomedov, known as Shara Bullet, wrapped his arm around Pereira's neck during the staredown, according to MMA Fighting. Pereira shoved Bullet in the chest immediately after, prompting on-stage personnel to pull the fighters apart and keep them separated for the remainder of the event. Both exited without additional contact.

Stakes for Saturday's co-main event clash

The matchup carries weight for both men trying to build momentum in the middleweight division. Bullet is one fight removed from his first career loss, a decision defeat to Michael Page in February 2025, but bounced back with a win over Marc-Andre Barriault. Pereira ended a three-fight skid this past February with a split decision over Zachary Reese.

UFC Baku is headlined by a lightweight bout between Rafael Fiziev and Manuel Torres. The Magomedov-Pereira co-main event takes place Saturday at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan.
