Selby Confirms Bare-Knuckle Return In London

Former IBF featherweight world champion Lee Selby is heading back to the bare-knuckle boxing ring in November.

Sherdog reports that Selby will headline BKB 61 on Nov. 14 at the Indigo at O2 Arena in London against an opponent to be announced. The 37-year-old Welshman hung up his boxing gloves in 2022 and made his bare-knuckle debut this past June at BKB 55, where he stopped Antonio Rizzo despite a 14-year age gap.

What Selby Said About Fighting In London

"I'm excited to be back in the Trigon and to have the opportunity to fight in London again," Selby said. "I already know exactly what BKB is all about, and I'm looking forward to getting back in there. I'm ready to put on a great night for the fans."

BKB CEO David Tetreault called Selby a proven world champion and one of boxing's biggest names, saying his return represents strong momentum for the promotion's global expansion. Tetreault added that London provides the perfect stage for a fighter of Selby's caliber.

Selby also held the WBC international featherweight title during his conventional boxing career before switching combat codes last year. His opponent for the November card will be announced in the coming weeks.
