Sedriques Dumas cut from UFC after 3-5 record, legal troubles
Sedriques Dumas is no longer on the UFC roster after a three-year stretch that saw the once-unbeaten prospect finish 3-5 with one no-contest.
Sherdog reported Tuesday that Dumas has been removed from the promotion's active fighter list, though it remains unclear whether the Florida native was released outright or simply not re-signed when his deal expired. The 30-year-old arrived in the UFC in 2023 with an unblemished record but exits on a two-fight losing streak, having last competed in April when he tapped to Jackson McVey.
Legal case derails Dumas' career
Dumas' decline coincided with an April 2025 arrest on multiple felony counts, including home invasion, battery, and weapon possession by a convicted felon. He did not win a fight after those charges surfaced. Three of the five counts were later dropped, per the Sherdog report, and Dumas pleaded no contest to the remaining two this past June.
His sentence included six months of community control, 48 months of probation, 50 hours of community service, and mandatory anger management counseling. "The Reaper" was sentenced in June, shortly before his name disappeared from UFC rankings and fighter databases.
Dumas entered the UFC as a highly touted prospect but struggled to find consistency against stiffer competition. His record now stands at 10-5 overall, with the promotion parting ways in the aftermath of both his legal troubles and his recent cage losses.
