SB Nation App Launches For MMA Fans

MMA Fighting and MMAmania have both rolled out access to the new SB Nation mobile app, which went live today for iOS and Android users.

The app marks the first time in years that MMA Fighting readers can access the site through a dedicated mobile application, per a post from managing editor Bryan Tucker. MMAmania founder Thomas Myers described the platform as the easiest way to follow what he called "the most entertaining mixed martial arts community on the planet."

What the SB Nation App Offers MMA Fans

Both outlets highlighted the same core features: a unified feed for favorite teams and fighters, push notifications when other users reply to or recommend posts, improved event thread performance, and a reduction in ad load compared to mobile web browsing. The app allows users to toggle between feed-only, articles-only, or combined views, and lets readers swipe between different SB Nation communities covering combat sports, NFL, MLB, and NBA teams.

Tucker noted that a year ago the network introduced The Feed feature and cut ad volume, and this app represents the next step in community tools. Myers echoed that timeline, writing that the changes aim to make posting and joining conversations as simple as using any major social platform.

The app is available now by searching "SB Nation" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
