Sam Alvey Books BKFC Debut Against Miller In Hershey
Sam Alvey will make his bare-knuckle boxing debut in December against Jonathan Miller at BKFC Fight Night Hershey.
The former UFC middleweight and current Karate Combat champion signed a multi-fight deal with BKFC that allows him to compete in other promotions, MMA Mania reports. Alvey and Miller will meet Dec. 4 at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in the 225-pound Ironweight division.
Alvey's Path From UFC To Karate Combat
Alvey spent three years in Karate Combat after leaving UFC, posting a 5-1-1 record and capturing both the heavyweight and light heavyweight titles. The 40-year-old knocked out kickboxing veteran Tyrone Spong as a heavy underdog in 2025 before Robelis Despaigne ended his title run with a head kick knockout. Alvey bounced back in his most recent appearance with a win over former UFC middleweight champion Uriah Hall and reportedly plans to return to Karate Combat as soon as January 2027.
Miller brings a 2-2 BKFC record into the matchup but has dropped six straight fights across bare-knuckle boxing, MMA and Karate Combat. His last outing saw him knocked out by UFC fan favorite Chris Barnett in approximately one minute inside the Karate Combat pit.
The Hershey card will be headlined by BKFC welterweight champion Dustin Pague defending his title against former two-time light heavyweight champion Mike Richman.
