Rolly Romero will make his first defense of the WBA welterweight championship against Teofimo Lopez on Aug. 22, according to ESPN.
The matchup pairs two former world titleholders at 147 pounds. Romero claimed the vacant WBA strap earlier this year, while Lopez previously held unified lightweight titles before moving up in weight.
