Rodtang Meets Nong-O In ONE Grand Prix Quarterfinal

Rodtang Jitmuangnon will finally face Nong-O Hama in the quarterfinals of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix on November 13 at The Inner Circle 38, BJPenn.com reports. The matchup was first scheduled for ONE 173 last November before Rodtang's hospitalization during fight week forced a postponement.

The winner advances toward reigning champion Asadula Imangazaliev and the silver belt. Rodtang, ranked second, sits one win away from 275 career victories and holds five flyweight title defenses from his earlier reign. He returned to Muay Thai after a fifth-round TKO loss to Takeru Segawa in their April kickboxing rematch at ONE SAMURAI 1, having stopped the Japanese star in 80 seconds in their first meeting.

Nong-O Returns After Imangazaliev Loss

Nong-O, ranked third, ruled the bantamweight division through seven consecutive title defenses before dropping to flyweight. The 39-year-old carries 268 career wins into the bout. A second-round loss to Imangazaliev in March preceded his decision win over Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at The Inner Circle 20.

The card also features fourth-ranked Shimon Yoshinari against fifth-ranked Ramadan Ondash. Yoshinari, a 22-year-old unbeaten in ONE with a 27-1 record, earned a $100,000 contract after his decision over Johan Ghazali at ONE SAMURAI 1. Ondash, 19, has won two straight since moving up from strawweight following a narrow loss to Aliff Sor Dechapan.
