Reyes Blasts Cormier With F-Plus Grade For UFC 333 Call

Dominick Reyes has escalated his criticism of Daniel Cormier's UFC 333 commentary by launching a YouTube series dedicated to grading broadcast teams.
The heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight, who knocked out Azamat Murzakanov on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, started a show called The Commentary Scorecard to detail his issues with Cormier's cage-side work, as MMA Fighting first reported. Reyes gave Cormier an F-plus while assigning Jon Anik a B-plus and Paul Felder an A.

Reyes Calls Out Factual Errors And Bias
Reyes flagged multiple errors in the first episode, starting with Cormier's claim that Murzakanov switched to southpaw. "The problem with this comment is Murzakanov is a southpaw naturally," Reyes said in the video. "He never fights orthodox ever. So for him to say he's switching to southpaw is completely wrong."
He also took issue with Anik mentioning his 2022 blood clots during the broadcast, calling it a "dead horse comment" unrelated to the action. Reyes disagreed with Cormier saying he was "now back fighting ranked fighters," noting he has only fought ranked opponents since his four-fight skid began.

The sharpest criticism came over Cormier joking that referee Mike Beltran "just wanted to see murder" by letting the finish play out. Reyes compared the remark to criticism that follows Herb Dean and said commentators must remain unbiased regardless of personal relationships with fighters.
Reyes has won two straight since the losing streak and faces an unannounced opponent next, with the heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight rankings now in reach.
