NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis is in discussions to compete in a Real American Freestyle wrestling match, MMA Fighting reports.

Lewis, who won two Super Bowls with the Baltimore Ravens and appeared in 13 Pro Bowls during his career, has stayed close to combat sports as an investor in RAF and former member of the Professional Fighters League advisory board. Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is working to close the deal, according to the report.

Lewis Was State Champion Wrestler Before NFL Career

Before his football career took off, Lewis wrestled at Kathleen High School in Lakeland, Florida, where he helped his team win a state championship. RAF has drawn multiple UFC fighters to its mats, including Khamzat Chimaev, Arman Tsarukyan, Colby Covington, and Belal Muhammad, who headline the promotion's next event.

The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has not competed in wrestling since high school. No opponent or event date has been announced.
