Oleksandr Usyk says he will fight two or three more times after facing Rico Verhoeven and is planning a major event as his career winds down.

“I will not stop my career after I fight Rico - I have two, maybe three, fights more. I build a plan in future for this fight - I have a secret plan. I want to build a business - this is one of my last fights, but I build [a] big show.”

What Oleksandr Usyk said

The Ukrainian has mapped out the closing stretch of his boxing career and confirmed the Verhoeven bout will not be his last appearance. Usyk told BBC Sport his future plans include building a business alongside the ring work.

What it moves

Usyk did not detail what the secret plan involves or name potential opponents for his remaining fights. His comments suggest he is already looking past Verhoeven to a larger project that ties his final bouts to commercial ventures outside the sport.
