Joe Joyce will fight for the WBA Continental heavyweight title in Moscow on July 11. The British heavyweight announced his Russia trip after securing the opportunity through IBA Pro.

“I'm excited for the opportunity to travel to Russia and challenge for the WBA Continental heavyweight title on July 11. Thank you to IBA Pro for the opportunity. My team and I are locked in and Moscow should get ready for a big performance.”

What Joe Joyce said

Joyce is chasing the WBA Continental belt against Suslenkov in a bout staged outside the UK. The heavyweight division's regional titles often serve as pathways back toward world-level competition. Joyce last fought in Britain and is now taking the fight to Russia.

What it moves

The Moscow date locks Joyce into a summer schedule with a regional title at stake. Suslenkov will have home advantage at a venue Joyce has yet to visit. Joyce's team will need to finalize training-camp logistics ahead of the July trip.
