PFL confirms 11-fight card for Washington D.C. on July 25

The Professional Fighters League announced Thursday a complete 11-bout lineup for its July 25 event in Washington, D.C., topped by a vacant welterweight title clash between undefeated Thad Jean and former tournament winner Shamil Musaev.

Jean, who remains perfect at 11-0, earned his championship opportunity by sweeping the 2025 season tournament. The Florida product knocked out Ali Omar in under two minutes in a 2023 Playoffs showcase bout before working through his bracket by stopping Mukhamed Berkhamov and outpointing Jason Jackson and Logan Storley, per Sherdog.

PFL D.C. features two tournament champions

Musaev captured the 2024 tournament crown by finishing Logan Storley and Murad Ramazanov during the regular season, then stopped Ramazanov again in the playoffs before knocking out Magomed Umalatov in the million-dollar final. The Dagestan native handed Umalatov his first pro loss in that bout. Musaev has not fought since dropping a title challenge to then-champion Ramazan Kuramagomedov, who vacated the belt upon retirement.

The card at Carefirst Arena includes Umalatov's return against Ernesto Rodriguez at welterweight. heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">Light heavyweight features three contests, with Valentin Moldavsky meeting former UFC heavyweight Bruno Cappelozza in a crossover matchup and Sullivan Cauley facing Rasul Magomedov. Denis Goltsov takes on Hasan Mezhiev in heavyweight action.

Bryce Meredith faces Jack Cartwright in a bantamweight showcase, while featherweight Noah Hermosillo meets Jacob Pais. The 11-fight lineup airs July 25 on ESPN, with the PFL's next event scheduled for July 18 in Austin.
