PFL signs undefeated Levan Khabalaev for Long Island card

Tom Rashid

The Professional Fighters League has signed undefeated lightweight Levan Khabalaev to face Ryan Gerena at PFL New York on Long Island, the promotion confirmed to Sherdog.

Khabalaev, who trains out of Longo's MMA, carries a 5-0 record with recent appearances in Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Legacy Fighting Alliance. The Russian has finished two of his last three opponents.

Gerena brings four-fight streak to PFL debut

Gerena enters 4-1 after dropping his pro debut and reeling off four straight wins for Flex Fight Series. Three of those victories came by stoppage.

The lightweight bout sits underneath a main event pitting PFL champion Usman Nurmagomedov against Archie Colgan, both undefeated. Dakota Ditcheva returns against Denise Kielholtz, while Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov meets Simeon Powell and Montana De La Rosa faces Tatiana Postarnakova.

No date for the Long Island card has been announced.
