Patricio Pitbull vs. Doo Ho Choi set for UFC 331 in Los Angeles

Former Bellator two-division champion Patricio Pitbull will fight Doo Ho Choi at UFC 331 on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, MMA Fighting confirmed with multiple sources.

The UFC has not yet announced a main event for the numbered card. Pitbull enters the featherweight matchup looking to snap a two-fight skid after dropping a decision to Aaron Pico in April. The Brazilian went 24-6 during his Bellator run before signing with the UFC, where he holds a 1-2 record. His sole octagon victory came against Dan Ige. Pitbull sits at No. 15 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings.

Choi brings three-fight win streak to September showdown

Choi has won his last three bouts, stopping Bill Algeo and Nate Landwehr in 2024 before knocking out Daniel Santos this past May. The Korean earned a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus for the Santos finish. "The Korean Superboy" has collected six performance bonuses across 10 UFC appearances, including his 2016 Hall of Fame war with Cub Swanson that remains one of the promotion's most celebrated brawls.

Both fighters carry 17-4-1 and 37-9 records into the September clash. The featherweight bout adds another proven finisher to the Los Angeles card as the UFC builds toward its late summer numbered event in California.
