Former Bellator champion Patchy Mix suffered his fourth straight loss at RIZIN 54 on Tuesday after missing weight by more than six pounds and drawing boos on his walk to the cage in Tokyo.

Mix weighed in 6.3 pounds over the featherweight limit and was docked two points before the opening bell, according to MMA Mania. He dropped a 28-27 decision on all three scorecards to Shoko Sato in the co-main event at Toyota Arena Tokyo. Mix took Sato's back in the first round and hunted for a submission, but Sato survived and controlled the fight as Mix faded over the final two rounds.

Akimoto Outpoints Koike In Main Event

The main event saw 20-year-old Kyoma Akimoto hand former RIZIN champion Kleber Koike a decision loss in what MMA Mania described as an impressive performance that confirmed his status as one of the promotion's top fighters. Eight of the card's 10 bouts ended inside the distance, with only the main and co-main requiring judges.

Down the card, Ryoma Shishimoto was stretchered from the cage after Joe Hiramoto stopped him in the first round. Naoki Tanaka beat Issa Hosokawa via second-round doctor stoppage, while King Edokpolo finished Mikio Ueda with a knee in round two.

RIZIN returns with its next event later this month.
