ONE Championship Announces Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix

ONE Championship has set an eight-man flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix for November, with unbeaten titleholder Asadula Imangazaliev defending against a roster that includes former champions and multiple undefeated contenders.

Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed the tournament lineup Tuesday on Facebook, calling it "the greatest world grand prix in history for Muay Thai," per BJPENN.com. Brackets, specific fight matchups, and the grand prize will be announced later.

Imangazaliev Faces Immediate Rematch Threat

The 23-year-old Russian champion enters with a perfect record and seven knockout wins across eight ONE appearances. He claimed the vacant belt against Aslamjon Ortikov at The Inner Circle 20, and Ortikov now sits in the same bracket with a 24-1 record. Former flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon also returns, chasing a 275th career win and a path back to the title he once held.

The field includes former bantamweight Muay Thai champion Nong-O Hama, who carries 268 career wins into the tournament. Japanese prospect Shimon Yoshinari remains unbeaten through seven global outings, most recently stopping Suablack Tor Pran49 in round two at ONE SAMURAI 3. Black Panther has won six straight, while 19-year-old Lebanese fighter Ramadan Ondash edged Johan Ghazali in July. English prospect Ubaid Hussain, 20, sits at 17-0 after securing his main roster contract with an eighth consecutive win at The Inner Circle 28.
