Nurmagomedov Rejects $2M PFL Offer Ahead Of UFC Talks

Usman Nurmagomedov has already walked away from a seven-figure offer to remain with PFL.

The undefeated lightweight, who recently completed his contract that carried over from Bellator, turned down more than $2 million to re-sign with his former employer, according to MMA Mania. Nurmagomedov told Sport24 that he rejected the offer as he enters a 90-day exclusive negotiating period with PFL before becoming a full free agent.

What Nurmagomedov's Free Agency Means For UFC Lightweight Division

The 28-year-old holds a 22-0 record with one no contest and has been linked to UFC through his relationships with cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov and Umar Nurmagomedov, both of whom compete under the promotion. Nurmagomedov is managed by Ali Abdelaziz, who represents a stable of top UFC fighters.

The recent merger between MVP and PFL gives Nurmagomedov leverage to increase his asking price as promotions compete for his services. Whether he returns to PFL for a higher figure or waits out the exclusive window to field UFC offers remains unclear.

The 90-day negotiating period expires in late November.
