Nikita Hand Speaks Out McGregor Loses His Appeal -‘Don’t Be Silenced'

Nikita Hand has spoken out after Conor McGregor failed in his bid to overturn the ruling from her sexual assault civil lawsuit on appeal.

Hand alleged that in 2018 McGregor sexually assaulted her in a Dublin hotel room. McGregor’s friend, James Lawrence, was also a name who was mentioned in the suit. While Lawrence was cleared, the same did not happen to McGregor. He was found liable, as he paid Hand $271,742.84 in damages. That was in addition to her legal bills. McGregor maintained that he was innocent, saying he would appeal.

"People want to hear from me, I needed time. I know I made mistakes. Six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me. As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision," McGregor stated

Hand Reacts

Conor’s legal team argued that the Irishman’s statements that were made in his police interview should not have been shown to the jury. The judges upheld the ruling, as Hand was now looking to move on.

“I’m also deeply grateful for everyone who supported me and those who believed in me and stood by my side throughout this case. This appeal has retraumatised me over and over again (by) being forced to relive it, what happened has had a huge impact on me. To every survivor out there, I know how hard it is, but please don’t be silenced. You deserve to be heard, you also deserve justice. “Today I can finally move on and try to heal,” Hand said
