MVP CEO guarantees $40,000 minimum purse for Netflix card
MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian has guaranteed every fighter on the promotion's Netflix debut card a flat purse of $40,000 with no show-win split.
The announcement, first reported by Sherdog, applies to all athletes competing on the Rousey vs. Carano event streaming on Netflix. Bidarian confirmed the structure eliminates the traditional model where fighters earn a base amount to show and an additional sum only if they win.
Performance bonuses available beyond guaranteed pay
"That's all guaranteed, and then every fighter has a performance bonus in addition to that, which there are different levels depending on the…" Bidarian said, per Sherdog.
The guaranteed minimum represents a significant floor for fighters on a card headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. Additional performance bonuses will be available at different tiers, though specific amounts were not disclosed.
MVP's Netflix card is expected to feature guest appearances from former UFC champions Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez. The promotion continues building its roster ahead of the streaming debut.
