Lerone Murphy wants MMA judges to score uneventful rounds as draws.

Murphy, who lost his undefeated record via majority decision to Movsar Evloev in London earlier this year, told FightersAdvice that rounds where little action occurs should not automatically go to one fighter. "If nothing happens in a round, you can't just give it to one guy because you favor him," Murphy said, per Bloody Elbow. "If nothing happens in a round, it's 10-10 or 9-9 or whatever. I think that should be brought in."

Murphy pointed to the opening frame of his fight with Evloev as an example. "It's a weird fight because nothing much happens in the first round," he said. "The first round is a toss-up, nothing happens." That bout included a point deduction for Evloev but still went the Russian's way on two of three cards.

Evloev challenges Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC featherweight championship at UFC 333. Murphy has not fought since the Evloev setback but remains vocal about scoring protocol in close fights.
