Movsar Evloev Vs. Lerone Murphy Predictions – ‘Wins That 100 Percent'
Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy headline UFC Fight Night in London on Saturday, as pros picked their winner.
Evloev (19-0) makes his long-awaited walk to the Octagon for the first time since December 2024. Coming off a dominant unanimous decision over Aljamain Sterling, Evloev boasts a flawless 9-0 promotional record. With previous wins over Arnold Allen and Diego Lopes, he is widely considered the most dangerous obstacle remaining for the featherweight reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski.
Meanwhile, Murphy enters the cage after his spinning back elbow knockout of Aaron Pico, a finish many have already dubbed the "Knockout of the Year." Currently on a 10-fight winning streak, Murphy aims to use the London crowd to propel himself into his first world title opportunity.
Pre-Fight
"I’m not looking past this Saturday. I’m looking to give everything this Saturday, so I don’t know when I’ll be back in there. But what I would say is regardless of the result, I want to fight active, I want to be active. After the Pico fight, I was screaming for a fight. I thought I was going to fight in December. I’ve been sat out for like six, seven months. So, really and truly, at 34, you don’t really want to be taking them breaks, especially if you’re healthy. For me, I just want to be active. So, I want to try to get back in there regardless, end of summer," Murphy said
Predictions
"I think that’s a great fight. That’s a great matchup. And I’m hoping like the winner gets like the next title shot. Both those guys are more than deserving, um so for them to be matched up, I think it definitely tells you, you know, the winner has to be next. I I’m hoping for them, whoever the winner is, I’m hoping they get that next title shot because they they do deserve it. I’m going to go with Evloev," Mario Bautista
"From just from what I’ve seen, I think I’ve only watched Lerone Murphy once and that was against Aaron Pico. I mean, I might go with Lerone Murphy just because, you know, Pico is a wrestler and Movsar is a wrestler. So, I think I’m gonna go with Lerone on that one," Alden Coria
"Movsar wins that 100%. I think he’s gonna put a pace on him. I think he’s going to out-grapple him. Um, he’s probably going to make him tired. So, I think if he ends up getting the finish, I think it’s going to be in the fourth or fifth round. But, dude, his grappling second to none. Gas tank second to none. He’s going to put the pressure on. He’s not afraid to go after it. And, uh, it’s not like he’s a chinny guy. So, I think Murphy could catch him with some shots and he’s still going to come forward and dominate," Francis Marshall
"I want to say I feel like Movsar wins it. I just think that like being a grappler it’s hard not to side with the grapplers…But with uh Lerone Murphy, he always has the puncher chance. I’m like he’s dangerous on the feet and I would really I want to see him win it. I think Evloev wins," Gillian Robertson
"I’m going to go with Murphy. Murphy, he just he’s so clean everywhere. I will say he has been taken down a few times by people who aren’t as strong of wrestlers and Movsar doesn’t gas. I’m pulling for Murphy like heart, but I think Movsar like my brain’s telling me that he’s probably going to win," Jordan Leavitt
