Brandon Moreno has motivation in abundance heading into his Noche UFC fight with Joseph Morales this weekend.
The former flyweight champion, who has dropped four of his last six, told MMA Junkie he pushed for the matchup after missing the previous two Noche events. "For one or another reason, I wasn't able to fight in the last Noches," Moreno said. "But finally we made it, so I'm super excited for that."

Moreno Aware Of Morales Threat
Moreno told his manager and the UFC he would take anyone available for the September card. That someone turned out to be Morales, a fellow Ultimate Fighter winner who has won two straight since returning to the promotion. Moreno sees a fighter with everything to prove. "He has a similar history to me. He was in the UFC then he got released, and he had to get some victories," Moreno said, per BJ Penn. "Right now he's 2-0, so he's super dangerous because he's motivated. He wants to prove to the world that he's ready to be on the big stage."
The Mexican star said he prepared for Morales to bring the fight of his life. With four losses in six outings, Moreno knows he needs a statement win to work back toward title contention. The clash takes place on the Noche UFC card in Las Vegas.
