McIntyre On Most Satisfying Crawford Win
Brian McIntyre says beating Errol Spence was the most satisfying win of his partnership with Terence Crawford — and not just because of what happened in the ring.
The longtime trainer, known as BoMac, appeared on the Last Stand podcast to discuss his career alongside the undisputed welterweight champion, according to Bad Left Hook. He singled out the July 2025 Spence fight as deeply personal after enduring months of trash talk from the opposing camp.

Why the Spence Fight Felt Personal
"Them guys over there, they got personally disrespectful," McIntyre said. He recalled Derrick James calling him "cheeseburger" and mocking his weight, while the Spence team threw shots at Crawford and his corner. McIntyre said the disrespect continued even after Crawford stopped Spence, with the losing camp refusing to acknowledge his work. "I was going to talk a little sh-t but if you look real closely, when it was my time to say something Bud leaned over and said 'keep it professional,'" he told the podcast.
McIntyre downplayed any notion he considers himself the best trainer in boxing, naming Ronnie Shields, Buddy McGirt, and Juan Guzman as underrated coaches who deserve more recognition. He also weighed in on several current matchups, predicting Teofimo Lopez will "smash" Rolando Romero and Conor Benn will "destroy" Ryan Garcia when they meet later this year.

When asked about Keyshawn Davis turning down a fight with Devin Haney, McIntyre suggested the lightweight prospect and his team have "something bigger and better" in the works. Davis recently left McIntyre's Omaha camp after winning a world title, a move the trainer said did not bother him.
