McGregor confirms 2 fights left on UFC deal, final bout April 2027

Conor McGregor has two fights left on his UFC contract, with the final bout locked for April 2027.

The former two-division champion told Yahoo Sports that after he faces Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas, he will fight once more to fulfill his current deal. That last fight is scheduled for April next year — a timeline that clearly frustrates him. "I have July 11 — when would you think they would put me back in? April, 2027! It's almost a year later! That's ridiculous to me," McGregor said, per MMA Fighting.

McGregor said he would prefer two fights in 2026 instead of waiting nearly 12 months between bouts. He floated the idea of fighting in July and again at year's end to move into a new contract, saying he wants to compete weekly if possible. "52 fights, a fight a week. I want to get going here, and I hope to get going," he told Yahoo Sports.

The Irishman added that he plans to test free agency when his deal expires unless the UFC makes him "an unbelievable" offer. He said the current two-fight agreement was a compromise — not what he felt he was worth, but also more than the promotion initially wanted to pay. "We met in the middle. I'm a fair operator," McGregor said. "I love the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and I'd love to continue. Let's see how it goes."

McGregor returns to the octagon for the first time in five years when he meets Holloway at T-Mobile Arena next month. The bout marks his first appearance since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
