McGregor and Holloway UFC 329 Face-to-Face adds surprise guest
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway will meet for a Face-to-Face interview ahead of their UFC 329 welterweight rematch, with promotional material teasing an unnamed surprise guest for the sit-down.
The pair originally fought at UFC Fight Night 26 in August 2013, when McGregor took a unanimous decision over Holloway in Boston. That bout was McGregor's second UFC appearance and Holloway's sixth trip to the Octagon. They headline the T-Mobile Arena card on July 11 in Las Vegas, capping International Fight Week.
McGregor dismisses age gap from first fight
Speaking during a UFC White House interview, per MMA Mania, McGregor addressed critics who suggest the 2013 result carries little weight because both fighters were early in their careers. "Holloway was only a kid back then, I was not," he said. "You're not going to lay a glove on me, and even if you do, I'm going to laugh in your face. It's another world here against me, and it's another world at this weight. I'm going to come out of this bout unscathed and in all glory."
McGregor has not competed in nearly five years. The 37-year-old last fought in July 2021 when he suffered a broken leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
The UFC 329 card also features the Octagon debut of Olympic wrestling gold medalist Gable Steveson and a lightweight co-main event between Paddy Pimblett and Benoit Saint Denis. Bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista meet in a 135-pound title eliminator.
