Mayer On Prime-Versus-Prime Matchup With Cameron
"We're getting each other in our prime," Mayer said. "You're getting this fight while we're both still very strong and dominant and there's no way you're not going to get an action-packed fight from us. I'm predicting female fight of the year, 100%."
Cameron, whose record stands at 22-1 with eight knockouts, said the matchup will bring out her best against a credible opponent. She added that seeing elite fighters commit to facing each other benefits the entire sport and should encourage more marquee bouts.
