Pacquiao ‘Robbed' Of Barrios Win
Manny Pacquiao and Mario Barrios fought to a majority draw, as the latter retained his WBC welterweight title, as you can follow how the fight played out.
Pacquiao, 46, came out of retirement in pursuit of history once again. The eight-division champion was aiming to become the oldest welterweight world champion, breaking his own record set in 2019 when he beat Keith Thurman at age 40 to win the WBA strap at 147. Pacquiao’s last professional bout was a unanimous decision loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2021, after which he hung up the gloves — but now returned with legacy on his mind.
Barrios, 30, entered as the favorite, boasting youth, size, and activity on his side. While his last outing ended in a draw against Abel Ramos, Barrios still retained his WBC belt and has shown interest in moving up to 154 should he get past Pacquiao. A win could also have lined him up for a unification clash with Brian Norman Jr. Here is how the fight played out.
