In the latest MMA news, Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski weighed in for their rematch at UFC 294 on October 21st, 2023.

Makhachev, the lightweight champion, will be hoping for a repeat of the first bout where the MMA fighter secured a unanimous-decision win over Volkanovski.

This time around, the latter stepped in on less than two weeks’ notice following Charles Oliveira’s withdrawal with injury obtained in sparring.

In chief support, Kamaru Usman squares off against Khamzat Chimaev after Paulo Costa withdrew due to a Staphylococcus infection.

And much like Volkanovski, Usman took the fight with less than two weeks to go. With that being said, all the fighters made weight except for two.
