The Ukrainian former champion confirmed his plans during a live DAZN broadcast from San Antonio on Friday night, according to Bad Left Hook. Lomachenko said he intends to fight at 130 pounds for the first time since he stopped Guillermo Rigondeaux in 2017, with his sights set on the winner of Emanuel Navarrete and O'Shaquie Foster for their three world title belts.

Lomachenko Still Targeting Undisputed Status
Lomachenko told DAZN that his pursuit of undisputed glory remains the driving force behind his comeback. He explained that 135 pounds was never his natural weight, which factored into his decision to step away from the sport. "During the preparation, it looks very good, but nobody knows what will happen after another month or two of preparation," he said. "We'll see. But right now, everything's good."
The 38-year-old, who turns 39 in February, acknowledged the uncertainty that comes with returning at his age. Lomachenko has not ruled out working with Top Rank again despite leaving the promotion after his contract expired, and he appeared at their San Antonio event when making the announcement.

Lomachenko last fought in May 2024, when he stopped George Kambosos Jr in Australia to claim the IBF lightweight title. Talks of a bout with Gervonta Davis fell through afterward. The Navarrete-Foster winner will unify three belts at 130 pounds, setting up a potential undisputed clash in 2027.
