Khamzat Chimaev suggests robbery in deleted UFC 328 tweet
Khamzat Chimaev briefly took to social media to claim he was robbed against Sean Strickland at UFC 328, according to a Sherdog report.
The middleweight contender posted and then deleted a tweet suggesting the split-decision loss went against him because he is not American. Chimaev wrote that he wanted no excuses but accused Strickland of trying to run away in their Dubai bout, per the screenshot captured by the outlet.
Chimaev demands rematch with Strickland
In a separate message that also vanished from his timeline, Chimaev called for a second meeting with the former champion. "I'm waiting tell me when you're ready," he wrote, addressing Strickland directly. "Next time somebody has to be dead."
The loss was Chimaev's first in the UFC and snapped an eight-fight winning streak inside the octagon. Two judges scored the co-main event 48-47 for Strickland, while one had it 48-47 for Chimaev in a fight that saw extended grappling exchanges and limited damage on both sides.
No rematch has been announced, and Strickland has not publicly responded to the deleted posts. Both fighters remain ranked in the top five at 185 pounds.
