James Toney Calls Out Wladimir Klitschko
James Toney has called for a fight with Wladimir Klitschko, saying he'd be open to facing him in either boxing or bare-knuckle rules.
"I would be world champion [in bare-knuckle], when I fight, I fight to win. Make it happen [me vs. Klitschko in bare-knuckle]. I would knock his a** out, like I would have done in the boxing ring. I don't care [bare knuckle or boxing], whatever he wants to do," Toney
Klitschko, who hasn't fought since losing to Anthony Joshua in 2017, has been linked to a possible comeback this year, with talk of a run at George Foreman's record as the oldest heavyweight champion if he can dethrone one of the sport's current titleholders — Daniel Dubois, Filip Hrgovic, Murat Gassiev or Agit Kabayel.
Toney, also inactive since 2017, has long pushed for a fight with the Klitschko brothers, previously accusing them of having "no talent and no heart" for avoiding him.
