Jamahal Hill trolls heavyweight contenders in new video
Former UFC heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has already started mind games with potential heavyweight opponents ahead of his divisional move.
Hill posted a video to social media Thursday mocking several contenders in the heavyweight ranks, according to MMA Fighting. The clip features Hill showing exaggerated eye and back-of-the-head defense, a clear jab at interim champion Ciryl Gane, who drew criticism for rule-bending tactics in recent bouts against Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira. Hill also stands on a stool to add height, seemingly targeting towering fighters like Alexander Volkov and Tallison Teixeira.
Why Hill is moving up after three straight losses
The 34-year-old announced his heavyweight plans following a three-fight skid at 205 pounds. Since capturing the vacant title against Glover Teixeira in 2023, Hill has battled through losses and injuries. His most recent outing was a unanimous decision defeat to Khalil Rountree Jr. in June 2025.
The video also includes Hill throwing double middle fingers and a D-Generation X crotch chop, moves that appear aimed at controversial contender Josh Hokit. Hill is eyeing late 2026 or early 2027 for his heavyweight debut.
