Jaalen Best On Playing Muhammad Ali In New Series

Jaalen Best spent months studying Muhammad Ali's movements before stepping in front of cameras for a new drama series about the heavyweight legend's life.

Best, who plays Ali in the production, told ESPN he focused on replicating the fighter's distinctive footwork and physical presence. Omari Hardwick and Michael Ealy join the cast in supporting roles tied to Ali's personal relationships.

How The Cast Prepared For Ali's Story

The actors discussed their methods for embodying figures from Ali's world. Best emphasized the challenge of capturing not just the boxing style but the champion's charisma outside the ring. Hardwick and Ealy detailed their own approaches to the relationships that shaped Ali's journey.

The series explores Ali's family dynamics and the first encounters that defined his career trajectory. Production wrapped earlier this year with a release date yet to be announced.
