Imavov Offers $500K, Tells UFC To Strip Strickland
Nassourdine Imavov posted a half-million-dollar challenge for Sean Strickland on social media, demanding the UFC strip the middleweight champion if he declines a January rematch.
Imavov wrote that he would put $500,000 of his own money on the line for the fight, according to Sherdog. The offer came as negotiations for a title rematch reportedly stalled.
Imavov Calls Out Strickland On Social Media
"If it's really about money, I'll put $500K of my own money on the line if you beat me in January," Imavov wrote, per the report. He added that if Strickland still refused, the champion was scared.
Imavov closed the post by calling on the UFC directly. "This is your champ? Come on STRIP HIM," he wrote.
The UFC has not publicly responded to Imavov's challenge. A January date for the rematch has not been confirmed.
