Ian Machado Garry signs with Eddie Hearn ahead of UFC 330
Ian Machado Garry has signed with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Talent Agency ahead of his welterweight title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 in August, MMA Fighting reports.
The Irishman announced the deal Wednesday on Instagram, writing that Matchroom will handle his commercial interests while Vayner Sports continues to represent him for contract and fight negotiations with the UFC. "Congratulations Matchroom Talent Agency you've signed the future," Garry posted. "I'm excited to announce Team Future just got bigger."
Garry's deal differs from Tom Aspinall arrangement
According to the report, Garry's arrangement with Hearn is limited to marketing and sponsorship opportunities, unlike UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, who signed with Matchroom for full career representation earlier this year. Aspinall's relationship with Hearn has put him at odds with UFC CEO Dana White, particularly as the British fighter recovers from multiple eye surgeries following an injury in his bout against Ciryl Gane.
Hearn, who runs Matchroom Boxing, has been locked in a public feud with White since the UFC boss launched Zuffa Boxing in early 2026. The one-time friends have exchanged barbs through interviews and social appearances, with Hearn recently criticizing Aspinall's UFC pay and even calling for the heavyweight champion's release from the promotion.
Garry challenges Makhachev for the welterweight strap in Philadelphia this August at UFC 330.
