Hearn Confirms White Meeting Over Joshua-Fury Deal

Eddie Hearn will fly to Los Angeles this week for talks with Dana White on how TKO can participate in the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight, per MMA Mania.

The meeting comes after weeks of public sparring between White and Hearn over the Saudi-backed heavyweight clash, which was announced for Principality Stadium in Cardiff rather than the Madison Square Garden venue White had pursued. Clauses in Joshua's SELA contract specify the bout must happen in the U.K. and that TKO may not be involved, but Hearn said he's open to working something out.

What Hearn Wants From White in L.A. Talks

Hearn told reporters Saturday that White cannot participate unless he and Joshua agree to it. "I just want you to tell me and explain why," Hearn said. "Why should I? What's in it for Anthony? What's in it for us? And once we establish that, we can make a decision."

The Matchroom promoter added that if White attends future press conferences, he expects an open exchange. "You've got to let me talk to him," he said. "I got a lot of questions to quiz him on his boxing knowledge about his clients and potential opponents for them."

Hearn acknowledged the back-and-forth has helped build buzz but stressed that Saudi backer Turki Alalshikh and Netflix both want TKO in the mix. Joshua and Fury are scheduled to meet in early December.
