Hearn Open To Promoting Eubank Against Benn

Eddie Hearn says he is open to promoting Chris Eubank Jr. in a potential trilogy fight against Conor Benn.

The Matchroom Boxing chairman, who handled Benn's side for the first two grudge matches, told The Ring during Saturday's broadcast in Manchester that he recently had lunch with Eubank and floated the idea of working together. Benn has since left Matchroom for Zuffa Boxing, setting up a scenario in which Hearn could switch corners for the rubber match.

Hearn Promises Level Playing Field For Eubank

Hearn acknowledged that he secured contractual advantages for Benn in the previous bouts, both of which took place at middleweight with a 10-pound rehydration clause. Eubank had campaigned as high as super middleweight before moving down, while Benn came up in weight for the rivalry. "If I'm on Team Eubank, I'll make sure everything's fair this time," Hearn said, per The Ring. "I think Chris understands and appreciates that my job last time was to get the edge."

Eubank won a thrilling unanimous decision in the first meeting at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April 2025, a fight that earned Fight of the Year honours from The Ring. Benn reversed the result six months later in October 2025, dropping Eubank twice in the final round on the way to a clear points win at the same venue.

Hearn said any third fight would take place at super middleweight, removing the weight disadvantage Eubank faced in the earlier contests. He stressed that nothing is imminent with Eubank but noted the commercial appeal of the matchup. "Me on Team Eubank against Dana White and Conor Benn makes the fight twice as big," he said.

Benn has fought twice under Zuffa's banner since leaving Matchroom in February, beating Regis Prograis on points in April before losing by second-round stoppage to WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia in September. Eubank has not competed since the October rematch.
